Story behind Focusbubble
This page is called Our Story, but truthfully, FocusBubble was created and built by just one person: someone with a mission, a wake-up call, and a deep belief that life can be so much better when we stop letting our phones control it.
My name is Boaz, I’m 22 years old, and at the start of 2025, my life and my mind were a mess.
I didn’t have a job, no clear structure, and I was spending literal days lost in my phone — scrolling through social media, watching videos, consuming content without thinking.
Time was slipping through my fingers, and I felt like I was doing nothing with it.
Like many others in my generation, I grew up with screens.
I got my first smartphone at 12, and from that moment on, it slowly took over.
Throughout my teenage years, I struggled mentally. I wasn’t happy. I didn’t feel motivated. I didn’t do well in school.
Looking back now, the reason is painfully clear: I was spending hours a day on my phone… and I didn’t even realize what it was doing to me.
The Turning Point
One day, I became truly conscious of the time I was losing and the mental fog it left me in.
That realization was enough. I decided to make a change.
I went from 8 hours of daily screen time to less than 90 minutes.
That single shift changed my entire life.
I started reading books again — really reading, thinking, and reflecting.
I started exercising, walking, getting outside, moving my body.
I learned more in a few months than I had in years: about focus, psychology, technology, discipline, creativity, and health.
And for the first time in years, I felt clear-headed, sharp, and present in my life.
Why FocusBubble?
I built FocusBubble to help others make that same shift.
Not just because it changed my life, but because I realized something deeply worrying:
Almost everyone around me was in the exact same loop.
Endless scrolling. Unlocking their phone for no reason. Escaping the present moment.
Spending time and energy on things that add nothing to their lives.
And it’s no longer just a bad habit.
Study after study shows what smartphones are doing to our brains, and it’s not good:
📉 Focus is declining
📱 Screen time is skyrocketing
😔 Anxiety, stress, and depression are rising, especially in young people
😴 Sleep is being destroyed by blue light and dopamine overload
🧠 Our attention spans are being hijacked by systems built for addiction
We’re not just wasting time —
We’re rewiring our brains.
And here’s one of the most shocking facts I’ve come across:
The average teenager and young adult is on track to spend 93% of their total lifetime free time — meaning time outside of school, work, and obligations — on their phone.
Let that sink in.
Almost every moment of personal freedom… traded for a screen.
The Mission
That statistic shook me, and it became the core of my mission with FocusBubble:
To show people a better way.
To prove that you can take back control.
To help this generation become not the most distracted one, but the most intentional, focused, creative, and mentally free generation we’ve ever seen.
That’s why FocusBubble is so simple:
One tap, and the apps that steal your attention are blocked.
Not forever — just for the moment you choose.
Because you want to think, create, rest, live.
This app isn’t meant to stay on your phone forever.
In fact, it’s an app that’s meant to be deleted.
FocusBubble exists to help you break the loop — until you don’t need help anymore.
Because we all want to live fully.
To be happy. Healthy. Present. Ambitious.
To care for the people we love. To build meaningful things.
To enjoy the only thing we can’t get back: time.
So let’s stop letting screens control us.
Let’s get our minds back.
Let’s take our lives back.
